Release and reception Professional ratings Review scores The DVD included in the album's Limited and Deluxe Editions marks the first release of Enya's music videos in North America, following the cancellation of the proposed The Video Collection in 2001. It includes a previously unreleased version of " Aníron" a song Enya wrote for the soundtrack to The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001). It is Enya's first greatest hits release since Paint the Sky with Stars (1997), but unlike the first collection, Enya did not record new tracks for the release. She agreed to the project, and chose a selection with her longtime collaborators, producer and arranger Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. (2008), Enya's label Warner Music requested that she release a new greatest hits album of her favourite songs of her career. It's sort of wan and fragile, which is part of her musical charm, but might also betray her in terms of performing. After promoting her seventh studio album And Winter Came. I'm not even sure her voice would hold up with traveling and repeat performing.

Plus she has no real history of playing live - not since she was briefly part of Clannad in the early 80s, anyways - so she probably also lacks the skillz. She just seems like a very shy and secretive type of person, and I think the idea of getting up in front of thousands of people scares the bejeezus out of her. It wouldn't sound exactly like the records, but it would be close enough. To me all she'd need would be a choir, a small orchestra, and 3-4 other keyboard players. Everyone assumes she'd need loads of samplers, but to me her music is pretty organic. In a recent BBC news article I read about her and the new album, she says that with today's musical technology, she is actually considering doing a tour.I think she could have toured for some time now. That's because she could never recreate her sound live.
